In what he calls his final service after a career lasting 55 years as a professional musician, the Bishop of Canberra, Goulburn George Browning (who will be preaching at the service) said he would be bestowing the title "Master of Music Emeritus" on Dr Paviour.
"It is a joy to celebrate a lifetime of church music with Dr Paviour and his wife Margaret, this Easter, as he transitions from one chapter of relationship with the cathedral to another.
"Paul has made a remarkable contribution in so many ways, bringing his skills and influence to impact upon the lives of both congregations and musicians alike," Bishop Browning told the Goulburn Post on the eve of Easter.
