The animal companions, whose friendship was widely documented on social media, bonded when the nestling was taken in by Peggy's owners in 2020.
Drama began to unfold when the magpie was seized by Queensland's Department of Environment, Science and Innovation after it found the owners were not holding appropriate permits in 2023.
Queensland premier Steven Miles intervened to return the bird to its home in March.
Animators take on Peggy and Molly
Xentrix Studio, animators of Ice Age, Angry Birds, Spiderman, Batman, Monster High and The Lego Movie, and talent agency Bella Management have devised a series based on the animal friends.
"This series captures the essence of adventure and the power of friendship, values that are close to our hearts," Bella Management CEO Chelsea Bonner said.
"We believe this charming duo will resonate with viewers worldwide and leave a lasting impact," she said.
Xentrix Studios Australia creative director Ken Cantrill said the story behind Peggy and Molly's friendship was "endearing" and spoke for itself.
"Anyone following the journey of Peggy and Molly will fully appreciate that this story is perfect for an animated TV series," he said.
"We are committed to creating a series that is not only entertaining but also visually stunning and has solid educational messages.
"We can't wait to introduce Peggy and Molly's world to audiences everywhere."
