A 39-year-old man has been arrested following the death of young man in an alleged road rage incident in Western Sydney on June 20.

The man attended Mount Druitt police station at 6.30am on June 21 and handed himself in.
Emergency services were called to Jersey Road in Blackett following reports a pedestrian had been hit by a car.
Officers attached to Mount Druitt Police Area Command arrived and found a 27-year-old man had been hit by a utility before it fled the scene.
The 27-year-old, who police say was wearing high visibility clothing, was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics but died at the scene.
Witnesses described the vehicle which hit the man as a white ute, with a metal tray, a black canopy and a black toolbox with metal racks on top.

Police later said the 27-year-old victim was dragged down Jersey Rd about 8.45am as parents were dropping children at school nearby.
Police are urging anyone with dashcam footage, CCTV vision or information about the crash to call Mt Druitt Police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
