A United States judge was stunned after a man who was charged with driving with a suspended licence turned up to his virtual court hearing while driving.

On May 15 2024, 44-year-old Michigan man Corey Harris dialled into his online court hearing after allegedly being caught driving without a licence in October 2023.
Judge J. Cedric Simpson asked Harris if he was behind the wheel of a moving car.
"Actually, I'm pulling into my doctor's office. So just give me one second, I'm parking now," Harris said.
Harris' lawyer then asked for an adjournment in the case for a few weeks.
Judge Simpson said he needed to clarify why Harris was driving during his virtual hearing.
"This is a driving while licence suspended case, and he was just driving, and he didn't have a licence," he said.
"I'm looking at his records, and he doesn't have a licence."
Harris' lawyer conceded that her client did not currently have a drivers' licence.
Judge Simpson revoked Harris' bond and requested he turn himself in at Washtenaw County Jail by 6pm that day.
"Failure to turn himself in will result in a bench warrant with no bond," he said.
