The magnitude 3.3 earthquake hit Victoria's LaTrobe Valley region in Gippsland around 45 kilometres south of Traralgon at 12.15pm on February 6.
"No injuries or damages have been recorded," Victorian State Emergency Services (SES) said.
Geoscience Australia recorded the earthquake and said 20 people had reported they felt the tremor up to 35 kilometres away from the epicentre.
The earthquake struck at a shallow depth of 1 kilometre below the earth's surface and was reportedly not strong enough to cause damage.
A resident of Morwell, around 35 kilometres north of the epicentre, said he "didn't feel a thing".
"I didn't even know it happened until I saw the [news]," he said.
Towns north of Foster including Mirboo North, Boolara and Yinnar were within the vicinity to feel light tremors during the earthquake.
More to come.
