Golfers struggled to score well in the Monthly Medal round played at Moss Vale Golf Club with only nine players out of a field of 118 with scores below their handicap.

Best nett score of the day went to the in-form Glenn Harrington with his nett 68 off his 15 handicap.
Best gross score of the day went to the evergreen, captious and talented Paul Maslen with 75 off the stick.

Harrington took the B Grade nett honours from Mick Wallace and Grant Irvine.
Irvine had the best gross score in B Grade with 83 on a countback.
Graham Warner had the best gross and nett rounds in winning C Grade, with John Wormleaton and Colin Lamond filling the placings.
Victory in A Grade was hard fought, with Paul McLean's nett 68 enough to nudge out Brodie Smith on a countback.
Dean Englefield continued his excellent form ahead of the club championships and had a nett 70 to place third.
Carolyn Donovan, whose handicap has almost halved over the past year secured victory in the women's stroke round with a nett par 71.
Kirrily Rumble and Evelyn Dovey placed second and third respectively.
The Moss Vale Golf Club's annual charity fundraiser, The Norm McDonald Charity Shield will go ahead on the, December 3 as a four-ball Ambrose event.
