The 16-year-old will face a children's court on Friday for break and enter offences after police arrested him on Thursday afternoon.
The boy, along with two others, allegedly broke into a Matraville school less than a week before Christmas and stole 28 electronic tablets, valued at $750 each, police say.
Two days after Christmas, the trio allegedly broke into a Concord sports club to steal $700 worth of alcohol.
Following inquiries from multiple police commands across Sydney, police searched a Five Dock address on Thursday, arresting the teen.
He was refused bail to appear at a children's court. Police inquiries continue into the other two alleged thieves and the location of the devices.
