Danny Yeadon is leaving the Wollondilly Junior Cricket Club after 16 years and that's what he said when reflecting on his time there.
His involvement with the club though, came by chance in 2006 when he was appointed the u10s coach.
"I've had four boys go through junior cricket at Wollondilly," Yeadon said.
"I turned up to take them to training one day and the club needed another coach, so they pushed it towards me.
"I went on to become president of the Goulburn District Junior Cricket Association (GDJCA) for five years.
"When I was president, I was also treasurer of Wollondilly, doing representative coordination and doing all the ground stuff."

His hard work didn't go unnoticed as he received an award from the GDJCA for exceptional service.
"The award is only for those who have done five to 10 years of service," he said.
"I don't expect any real gratitude or anything like that, but it's nice when it's given to you."
Yeadon will miss plenty of things associated with junior cricket, especially the impact he was able to have on the kids.
"I love seeing the young ones improve, particularly those who listen to you," he said.
"You try to get the best out of each kid, but it can be difficult when you have ones whose attitudes aren't the best."
It hasn't always been easy going for Yeadon though.
"One of the hardest things to do is to try to keep the kids in the game and to play again the following year," he said.
"I try to make the game as enjoyable as possible, but I've seen really good players leave the sport because they're not interested."
Although Yeadon is leaving, he will always be one of the most influential people the Wollondilly Club has ever had.
