A teenager has escaped unscathed after her vehicle went into the Wollondilly River in Goulburn yesterday.

Police said at about 8.50am on Wednesday, April 6, the driver of the grey Toyota Hilux travelling towards Goulburn on Range Road left the road and crashed through the barriers just before Rossi Bridge.

The 17-year-old managed to get out of the vehicle as it was sinking into the water.
The bridge was closed the following morning to allow a tow truck to recover the car.
Traffic control and a diversion was in place.
