This year's Goulburn festival will take place between March 28 to April 1 and there's a range of activities that you can get up to.
The theme for this year's festival is 'reconnect' and the official opening will be held on Monday, March 28 at the Goulburn Workers Club.
The ceremony will include the presentation of the 2022 Senior of the Year and the Community Group of the Year awards as well as a performance by the Goulburn Regional Ukulele Band (GRUB).
The guest speaker will be Luke Wallace and local youth discussing the Youth Mentoring Program: Strengthening the Next Generation, followed by the Active Aging Expo.
Morning tea will be provided by the Goulburn Mulwaree Council.

Monday March 28
11am - 2pm Official Opening SENIORS FESTIVAL 2022 "Reconnect" and Active Aging Expo
Cost: FREE
Goulburn Mulwaree Council in partnership with Goulburn Workers Club will present the opening ceremony of the Seniors Festival 2022 at the Goulburn Workers Auditorium. For further information contact Goulburn Community Centre on 4823 4498.
10.15 - 11am Guided Meditation at Goulburn Mulwaree Library
Cost: FREE (must book)
Come along and enjoy free guided meditations where participants can learn simple techniques to help reduce stress and achieve inner peace. Suitable for beginners and regular meditators. Bookings are essential: please contact Simon on 0413 187 495.
10.45 Rocky Hill War Memorial and Museum Special Tour
Cost: By Donation (limited numbers must book)
Tour the museum with museums coordinator and exhibition curator, Kerry Ross. The tour will include a daily Service of Remembrance at 11am. The museums tour will be followed by a special 'behind the scenes' tour with long-term volunteer, Carol Olsen. You will visit the collection workspace and storage area and view the newly re-furbished volunteer kitchen and catch up space under the cottage museum. Tuesday March 29
10.30am Joey Fimmano Stage Show at Goulburn Workers Auditorium
Cost: FREE (must book)
Celebrating over 30 years in show business, Joey is a multi-award winning instrumentalist and vocalist. He is a true showman with a versatility and energy that captures audiences wherever he performs. He performs all over Australia, at all major theatres and venues, as well as being in popular demand on major US cruise lines. Joey has received rave reviews and standing ovations in theatres all across Australia, making him one of the most popular performers on the theatre circuit all across Australia. The show will be followed by lunch. Tickets available from Goulburn Workers Club at the reception.
10.45am Goulburn Historic Waterworks Museum special behind the scenes tour
Cost: By Donation (limited numbers must book)
Join the tour with attendant and heritage student, Jennifer Guiver. The museums tour will be followed by a behind the scenes tour with long-term volunteer, Bryan Mulquiney. Bryan has extensive knowledge of the waterworks site, the buildings and the steam engines. He will take you on a tour of the boiler room and the fireman's cottage which has been re-purposed as an office and research space. Wednesday March 30
10am Lilac City Cinema Special Seniors Movie Event: 'Off the Rails'
Cost: FREE (will need to show seniors card)
The Lilac City Cinema is kindly supporting the Seniors Festival by screening 'Off the Rails', a 2021 comedy about three fifty-something women who set out to repeat the inter-railing adventures of their youth after their close friend passes away leaving them rail tickets and a final request, to take her teenage daughter with them. Enjoy a covid-safe morning tea at 10am, followed by the seniors only movie event at 10:30am. There are 140 seats available.
Thursday March 31
10am - 12pm Road Safety Trivia with Snakes and Ladders at Goulburn Veolia Arena
Cost: FREE (must book)
Inviting all seniors, both drivers and pedestrians, to come along and give your road safety awareness a tune up. Police will be on hand to answer questions and Open Mobility will be on hand to discuss independence with a motor scooter. Friday April 1
10am - 12pm Yarn and Tea Time at Goulburn Mulwaree Library
Cost: FREE
This is a social activity for those who enjoy knitting, sewing, crocheting and other creative yarn projects. Bring along a project and enjoy a cuppa with others who share similar interests. No need to book.
