A man has had his licence suspended after allegedly driving at four times the legal alcohol limit near Goulburn.

Just after 10.30pm on Tuesday, Hume police officers were performing speed enforcement duties on the Hume Highway, as part of Operation Australia Day 2022.
They detected a Volkswagen sedan allegedly travelling at almost 150km/h in a 110km/h sign posted area at the Goulburn bypass.

Officers stopped the driver - a 28-year-old man - who was subjected to a roadside breath test and returned a positive result.
He was arrested and taken to Goulburn Police Station, where he underwent a secondary breath analysis and returned an alleged reading of 0.207.
The man's licence was suspended, and he was charged with drive with high range PCA, and class A motor vehicle exceed speed (more than 30km/h).
The Maroubra man was granted strict conditional bail. He will appear at Goulburn Local Court on Wednesday February 16.
