They both raced tremendously well at the Bowral Cup on Sunday, January 30, resulting in podium finishes.
Indie won the u13 girls category while Elsie won the u15 girls competition.
The two girls would also have been aiming for a high finish at Trackpower the day before, but that was cancelled due to bad weather.
Although the rain did clear up throughout the day, Trackpower organiser Graeme Northey said the track at Seiffert Oval was too wet for competitors to safely compete in.
"The reality was that the rain was so heavy and intense, we had no choice but to cancel the event which was a real shame," Northey said.
"We had a shower before the start which took the track about 90 minutes to dry out.
"We then managed to get about four races away, but then a big storm came and the track was never going to be dry enough in time."
Jim Veal from the Vikings Cycling Club in the ACT expressed his disappointment with the cancellation.
