In each of the club's monthly events, points are distributed based on the scores from each shooter. The Club Championships pit each of the graded champions who have emerged throughout the year against one another, to determine who the best in the club is in both the prone and bench rest disciplines.
The day was a very cool day with plenty of cloud cover. The wind conditions were good, with some little gusts thrown in here and there. The breeze was also very tricky, but there were times that the flags were still enough to get a few shots off.
The GSBRC's grade champions for 2021 are:
Prone
A Grade: David Wright
C Grade: Richard Brodie
Bench Rest
A Grade: Rob Eager
B Grade: Ivan Wilson
C Grade: Kylie Watts
The day of the Club Championship saw David Wright shoot shoulder-to-shoulder with Richard Brodie in the prone discipline.
David's score was 594 with 40 centrals, while Richard's score was 581 with 28 centrals.
This makes David Wright the GSBRC 2021 Club Champion in the prone discipline.

With regards to the bench rest division, Rob Eager shot shoulder-to-shoulder with Ivan Wilson and Kylie Watts.
Eager scored 598 with 49 centrals, while Watts managed 597 with 43 centrals, and Wilson shot 594 with 28 centrals.
This makes Rob Eager the 2021 Club Champion in the bench rest discipline.
This was a hard-fought competition and it was tight all the way to the last shot.
This was some excellent shooting, and excellent scores. The best score that can be shot is 200 with 20 centrals on each card, and for the Club Championship each shooter is required to shoot three cards for a total score out of 600 with 60 centrals.
This marks the end of the GSBRC's 2021 competitive shooting season. The club wishes everyone a very merry, happy and safe Christmas, and looks forward to seeing all members and new interested people return to the range next year.
This a year has also been a challenge with COVID, but the club has implemented a COVID plan which kept all members safe.
Please feel free to come along and have a shoot or just come and see what smallbore rifle shooting is all about. Please note that all visitors must sign in using the Service NSW QR code and must be fully vaccinated.
