Last week, in much drier conditions, the scores proved just how evenly matched the competition is.
In the first game of the night, the Jets burst out of the gate early to clinch a strong five-point lead against the Stallions. Although the latter fought back late in the game, they could not close the gap and remained five points in arrears, 12-7, at the final horn.
The second match saw the Royals and Angels play out an incredibly hard-fought encounter, throughout which each side scored point-for-point.
By the end, the deadlock remained unbroken and the teams finished a nailbiting game even at 9-9.
The third round of the Mixed Premier League competition will be played this Wednesday, December 8, at Carr Confoy.
The first game will see the Royals and Jets face off at 6pm, with a clash between the Angels and Stallions to follow from 6.50pm.
