This is The Goulburn Group's (TGG'S) vision for our city as we embrace the coming generation of car travel.
Prices for electric vehicles are coming down, batteries are becoming more efficient, meaning greater range, maintenance and running costs are much lower than for petrol-driven cars and there are no carbon emissions.
All good reasons why people all over the world are moving to EVs.
Goulburn is ideally located on the electric highway between Sydney and Canberra and Sydney and Melbourne.
That means the easier it is for travellers to charge their car, the more they are likely to stop, shop and stay in Goulburn.

Back in 2015, TGG played a key role in the installation of the Tesla superchargers at the Goulburn Visitors Centre - the first outside the metropolitan area in Australia.
Since then, a fast charger catering for other makes of EVs has been intalled at the Goulburn Gateway service station in North Goulburn.
We have written to businesses in Goulburn this week urging them to take the next step and provide chargers at convenient locations.
For companies like Woolworths, Coles and Bunnings but also for smaller businesses, which may not be able to afford a fast charger, it is a great way to attract customers.
All the better if they can draw their electricity from solar panels.
We have asked for meetings with company representatives to discuss the options.
"Our members feel strongly about the urgent need for all us to do what we can to curb global warming," said TGG president Urs Walterlin.
"But as well as that, this initiative can really put Goulburn on the map as being a leading regional centre promoting the use of EVs and giving people a reason to make a stop in Goulburn.
"While it is true that EVs are still relatively expensive, this will change in the next few years and we can be at the forefront of taking advantage of the transition."
