Goulburn Mulwaree Council is forging ahead with a number of projects on rural and regional roads within the area, which will significantly benefit residents.

Funds have been obtained for construction of a new Towrang Bridge along with projects on Carrick Road, Mountain Ash Road and the Windellama Road. Council has also contributed funds for works.
Eight kilometres of Carrick Road is being sealed through funds gained through the Federal Government Fixing Country Roads program.
Towrang Bridge is taking shape at a level 4.5m higher than the existing bridge. The bridge headwalls have now been poured.
Twelve kilometres of Mountain Ash Road is being sealed, along with widening, drainage improvements and vegetation clearing.
Goulburn Mulwaree Council general manager Warwick Bennett said that in all his time in local government, he has never overseen so much work in road rehabilitation and improvement.
"Being able to access over $11 million in grant funding in such a short time is outstanding, and I'd like to thank the Federal and State Governments along with our local Member for Hume Angus Taylor and Member for Goulburn Wendy Tuckerman," Mr Bennett said.
"These projects means huge improvements for our rural residents and the users of these roads such as livestock transporters.
"Creating safer road networks is a core business of Council, and I'm proud that we are able to deliver four huge projects which will be completed over the next 18-24 months."
