A decrease in testing numbers across the state has led to calls by Dr Jeremy McNaulty for residents to get tested at the onset of symptoms.

Several new cases of COVID-19 have been detected in the Southern Highlands and Tablelands in the 24 hours up to October 4, 8 pm.
Three new cases were recorded in the Wingecarribee local government area.
The total number of cases in the Wingecarribee LGA is 63 since the current outbreak began in June.
Southern NSW Local Health District recorded 19 new cases.
Zero new cases of COVID-19 were recorded in Goulburn.
Eight cases of COVID-19 were recorded in the Queanbeyan-Palerang region. Two are linked to known cases.
Of the eight, one case was recorded in Queanbeyan, two were recorded in Karabar, one was recorded in Crestwood and four were recorded in Jerrabomberra.
The remainder of the 19 cases in the SNSWLHD were recorded in Snowy Monaro region and Eurobodalla local government area.
This brings the total cases in SNSWLHD to 290 since the start of the current outbreak in June.
Across NSW, 608 cases of COVID-19 were recorded, and more than 85,00 people were tested for the virus in the 24 hours up to October 4, 8 pm.
Residents should be alert for any symptoms that could signal COVID-19 including headache, nausea, sore throat, runny nose, cough, loss of smell or taste, or fever.
If symptoms appear, people must isolate and get tested immediately, and remain isolated until a negative result is received.
