Six new cases of COVID-19 in the Southern Highlands, 20 new cases in the Southern Tablelands

Six new cases of COVID-19 were recorded in the Southern Highlands.

The total number of cases in the Southern Highlands remains at 54 since the current outbreak began in June.

Mittagong Woolworths was also added to the venues of concern list on Wednesday September 29.

Anyone who visited Woolworths at the Highlands Marketplace in Mittagong on Friday September 24 between 8:45 am to 9:45 am is required to get tested immediately and self-isolate until a negative result is returned.

Southern NSW Local Health District was notified of 20 new COVID-19 cases in the 24 hours to 8 pm.

There are 12 new cases of COVID-19 in the Queanbeyan-Palerang region. Two are linked to known cases.

Eight cases of COVID-19 were recorded in the Goulburn Mulwaree region and are all under investigation.

This brings the total cases in SNSWLHD to 196 since the start of the current outbreak in June.

Across NSW, 864 cases of COVID-19 were recorded, and more than 120,000 people were tested for the virus in the 24 hours up to September 30, 8 pm.

Residents should be alert for any symptoms that could signal COVID-19 including headache, nausea, sore throat, runny nose, cough, loss of smell or taste, or fever.

If symptoms appear, people must isolate and get tested immediately, and remain isolated until a negative result is received.
