We certainly started spring and September off with a bang, with bursts of colour replacing the bare branches. The season has sprung in the Tablelands, with clear, picturesque blue skies and blooms wherever you go.
Celebrating fathers and father figures across the Tablelands
![Hannah Neale and her dad Hayden: Dad might seem tough on the outside but he's a big softy. He loves animals just as much as I do. While he likes most critters, he is not a fan of foxes.

As the weather has been warming up, more Tablelanders have laced up their joggers and headed over to the Wollondilly and Mulwaree River track for some fresh air. They have also taken their phones and cameras along, to capture the picturesque landscape and creatures they have stumbled upon along the way.

While these photos were not taken this month, 1959 Lilac Festival Queen Jan Cooper gave shared photos with us taken during her reign. It is a trip down memory lane for the festival's 70th anniversary from October 2 to 4.
