It was a blur of sheer speed as Great Britain's Sarah Storey took part in the women's C5 3000m individual pursuit at the Izu Velodrome during the week.

There were no beg pardons this week when China's Hao Li and Artem Manko from the Ukraine met at the fencing competition. The pair contested the men's sabre individual category A gold medal bout in the Makuhari Messe Hall B.
