Sometimes, businesses can be in a tricky situation as they do not meet the eligibility criteria for the government's financial assistance.
These businesses miss out on assistance despite suffering losses as they are located outside the lockdown areas.

"These businesses may be eligible for government financial assistance if they are impacted and their downturn is over 30 per cent. A range of packages are available to provide assistance," he said.
"I have been a small business owner and understand the stress of not knowing if you are going to make it to the next day. There is significant funding available for mental health packages to support them as well.
"At a time like this, it is important that community members should come out and support their local businesses."
There are several businesses that are finding it tough to keep going and facing eviction from their landlord. Mr Tudehope encourages such business owners to avail the mediation services being provided by Small Business Commissioner.
"It is a part of the relief packages that we rolled out which states that there will be no evictions unless mediation has taken place. The success rate is 95 per cent and around 4000 such cases were mediated last year," he added.
Mr Tudehope further shared that micro grants are available for businesses that have an annual turnover of less than $75,000.
"A significant number of businesses in regional areas would fit into this category. There are grants through which micro-businesses will receive $1500 every fortnight," he said.
