Police have confirmed that one person has died in the car crash on Taralga Road at 6pm Saturday.
The Goulburn Post understands the driver of the other vehicle was not seriously injured.
Both vehicles were travelling north, towards Taralga, at the time of the crash.
A crash investigation team was en route to the scene.
No other details are available at this stage.
Update Saturday 8.30pm
Traffic controllers are allowing motorists to bypass the crash scene in both directions via the grass verge on Taralga Road.
Police remain at the site, just near the Police Driver Training School.
Saturday 7.30pm
Taralga Road is closed in both directions following a two-car collision.
Emergency services were called to the scene, near the Police Driver Training School at about 6pm Saturday, police said.
There are reports that a person is trapped. Ambulance and police are attending.
The nature of any injuries is not known at this stage.
Police closed the road at 6.15pm on either side of the Driver Training School.
Goulburn Mulwaree Council is managing traffic control.
