Victoria's lockdown eases: What you can and can't do

Victorians will be able to leave their homes for any reason. Restaurants and cafes can also reopen for seated service. Retail and beauty and personal care will open in line with density limits, as will entertainment venues and community facilities.

The Authorised Worker List will no longer apply, meaning businesses and venues can reopen with capacity and density limits of 1 person per 4sqm. Victoria will return to the rule that 'if you can work from home, you should work from home' but office workers will be able to return up to 25 per cent or up to 10 people, whichever is greater.

In welcome news for families, kids can get back to the classroom with schools reopening for onsite learning to all students from tomorrow.

Stay at home requirement: No stay at home requirement.

Intrastate travel limit: Movement between metropolitan Melbourne and regional Victoria is unrestricted. Travel to regional Victorian Alpine Resorts permitted provided visitors and workers have had a negative COVID test within the previous 72 hours. Children under 12 years not included. Early learning centres, childcare, family day care: Open.

Schools: Open. Density quotient of 1 person per 4 sqm applies in non-student areas. Face mask requirements apply to everyone 12 years and over.

Higher education and training: If you can study from home, you should continue to study from home.

Religious gatherings and ceremonies: Permitted for up to 100 people indoors and up to 300 people outdoors. Density quotient of 1 person per 4 sqm applies.
