Goulburn Base Hospital is open and operating unaffected after a construction worker on the hospital redevelopment site tested positive for COVID-19.

While a fast food site in Marulan was added to the Covid-19 exposure list earlier today after two positive COVID cases visited there on Saturday, no other exposure sites has been identified in Goulburn at this stage.
The construction site has been temporarily closed and contact tracing is underway.
Public Health teams are completing a risk assessment of the construction site to provide further advice about possible exposure.

Meanwhile, all those who were present at the worksite on July 9, when the case was considered infectious, are isolating and being tested.
At this stage, no staff or patients from Goulburn Hospital have been affected.
Construction company Hansen Yuncken is the principal contractor for the redevelopment and responsible for procuring and engaging sub-contractors and suppliers for the project.
The company has reiterated to Health Infrastructure its commitment to employing local workers where possible. However, with bushfire recovery works ongoing, trades are in short supply.
The construction site has workplace policies and procedures in place for managing COVID-19 in accordance with NSW Government advice.
Meanwhile, free COVID-19 testing clinics are open for extended hours in Goulburn this week.

Southern NSW Local Health District is urging anyone feeling unwell - even with the mildest of symptoms such as a runny nose, scratchy or sore throat, cough, fever, shortness of breath, headache, tiredness, loss of taste or smell, nausea, diarrhoea or muscle aches - to self-isolate and seek COVID-19 testing, so that any cases in the community are identified as quickly as possible.
To help stop the spread of COVID-19:
- If you are unwell, get tested and isolate right away - don't delay.
- Wash your hands regularly. Take hand sanitiser with you when you go out.
- Keep your distance. Leave 1.5 metres between yourself and others.
- Wear a mask at indoor venues, especially if you can't physically distance
