The celebrities on Monday, June 21 included Bondi Rescue's Bruce Hopkins, Ironman Guy Andrews, NRL legend Mark McGaw, Aussie surfing legend Gerry Manion and Golf Pro David Northey.
Glenn Gorick from the circuit said an aim of the day was to support of men's mental fitness.
"The event promoted by Mal Butterfield who invited over one hundred drivers who came to Pheasant Wood Circuit to talk everything men's mental fitness along with well known celebrities who gave their time to race against each other and entertain everyone in the very slippery and wet conditions," Mr Gorick said.
Here was how the race (designed by track manger Scott Hill) worked.
"We wanted to ensure it would come down to the last lap and have as many celebrities race to the line together as possible," he explained.
"Each celebrity was given race tuition and practice followed by qualifying for a five lap handicap event where the slowest went off first followed by another nine cars back to the fastest.
"The plan worked very well with the first five across the line within 800ths of a second of each other, but the remaining celebrities were caught up in tussles costing them valuable time and were a few seconds behind the rest."
Northey won the race, just holding off the fast charging Andrews and Hopkins.
Mcgaw was fourth followed by race sponsor Bob Zelesco, track owner Steve Shelley, motoring expert John Cadogan, Jake Shelley and Manion.
Mcgaw actually missed the chequered flag and did an additional lap thinking he was now leading, only to spin off on turn seven and see the entire field pass him again.
The day also raised thousands of funds for Gotch4life and NSW Police legacy.
The next celebrity race day is planned for December 6 and spectators are welcome.
