A total of 145 riders signed on for the opening junior tour for the year from all over NSW, along with riders spanning across the ACT, Gold Coast, Townsville, Victoria and South Australia.
The format for the tour involved a Prologue, Individual Time Trial and two Road Races.
Racing was extremely competitive over all the age groups, no more so than the Under 17 Men (Division A) with only 45 seconds separating the top three riders on General Classification.
Oscar Chamberlin (Canberra) took out first place from Wil Holmes (Norwood SA) and Curtis Trkulja (Nowra Velo).
The Under 17 Women's division was won by Lauren Bates (Canberra) by 28 seconds over Keira Will (Lidcombe Auburn) and Nicole Duncan (Central Coast).
The Goulburn Cycle Club had three representatives in the tour: James Quade, Elsie Apps and Indie Champion. James had a tough first tour in the Under 17s, while Elsie rode well despite a badly twisted ankle that had her on crutches between rides and Indie chased a Queenslander Siena Goulding from Townsville all weekend and finished second on General Classification.
Thanks go to all the major sponsors of the event, including Goulburn Workers Club, Acciona Gunning Wind Farm and Goulburn Mulwaree Council and the small army of volunteers that made it possible.
