As winter approaches, it's a great time to think about preparing your garden for spring planting - and that means compost. Join council's composting officer, Sam Morris, to learn everything you need to know about making your own black gold or choosing the right commercial compost for your needs. Find out how to get started creating your own compost, what to include (and not include) in your compost heap, how to test when your compost is ready to use, and how to fix common compost problems.Sam will also talk about the highlights of creating council's own compost using your household green waste.

Library Book Sale

The library's popular book sale is back during library opening hours with lots of high quality second hand items for sale, including fiction, non-fiction, large print, audiobooks, children's books, DVD's, magazines, and lots more. Everything is $2 or fill a bag for $10.
Goulburn Poultry Fanciers' Society - Waterfowl Show & Auction

The Goulburn Poultry Fanciers' Society poultry auctions average of over 80 vendors and 100 buyers with over 1,000 fowl in more than 500 pens. The extensive range but includes a wide range of waterfowl plus the sale of equipment such as incubators, feeders and carry boxes. Buyers should bring boxes, cages or other suitable containers to transport birds home after purchase. (Please note: Goulburn Poultry Fanciers' Society support and enforce the RSPCA ban on transporting birds to or from the auction in bags/sacks or tied by the legs). EFTPOS facilities available/canteen available on the day/stewards are always welcome. No late entries accepted. Goulburn North Public School Family Fun Fireworks Night

The Goulburn North Public School's annual Fireworks and Family Fun Night is on again and this year this year and they are celebrating the 30th anniversary of this fantastic event. As well as an amazing Fireworks Display, there will be amusement rides, raffles, chocolate wheel, auction, BBQ, face painting, show bags, fairy floss and much, much more all in a COVID safe way. Enjoy a great evening whilst supporting this wonderful local school.
