A report issued by Liquor and Gaming NSW has outlined the latest gaming machine data across the state. It covers the period from June 1 to November 30, 2020 for clubs, and July 1 to December 31, 2020 for hotels.
Clubs in the Goulburn Mulwaree and Upper Lachlan Local Government Areas totalled $10,597,751.27 in net profit from 385 electronic gaming machines over seven premises. Meanwhile, hotels in the region brought in a net profit of $4,106,499.49 from 105 electronic gaming machines over eight premises.
This comes to a total profit of $14,704,250.8 for the area. This is a 19 per cent increase from $12,113,235.66 recorded for 2019.
The previous six-month net profit figures were significantly impacted by restrictions placed on gaming venues due to the COVID-19 including the closure of gaming venues for 10 weeks from March 23 to May 31.
Compared to the same six-month period in 2019 across the state:
- The total number of operating gaming machines fell by 2374.
- Net profit increased by 10.93 per cent for hotels and 7.29 per cent for clubs.
- Total net profit increased by 8.79 per cent.
