Primary school students were given the chance to showcase their tennis skills in the Primary Schools Sports Association (PSSA) regional trials at Ridland's tennis.

There were 25 males and 15 females who all aimed to make the next round of competition, the state carnival in Newcastle next month.
Two of the competitors were Eamon Shiel from Goulburn South Public School and Owen Edwards from Goulburn East Public School both aged 10-years-old.

After playing six matches, Eamon made it through to the next round, while Owen also made it as a reserve.
Ridland's Tennis coach David Ridlands who coaches Eamon said his achievement was well deserved.
"Eamon's game is very consistent, and he can hit winners off both sides," Mr Ridlands said.
In previous years, students from Goulburn had gone on to be a part of the ACT team.
