Riders set out at 30-second intervals from the cemetery for a 10km steady climb to the turnaround point just past Dennys Lane and then a downhill run to the finish line back at the cemetery.
A Grade rider, Cameron Roberts tore up the course with a blistering 26 minutes and 34 seconds for the 20km ride at just over 45km/hr. Jacob Emmerton pipped Callum Emmerton for second place.
Back from travelling around outback Queensland, Jason Cook won B Grade from Neils Laugesen in second place and Jordan Rowlands in third.
Very close racing in C Grade as Tony Neate edged out Ian Wardale by six seconds with Chris Berry in third place.
Wayne Skillman continued on his winning way by taking line honours in D Grade followed by young James Quade, returning for a broken collarbone, and Peter Lucas in third place.
Next Wednesday, March 10, racing is at Wakefield Park for graded scratch races. Sign on from 5.45pm with racing from 6.15pm.
