That will be followed by an open day at Mortis St Cemetery from 10am to 1pm the following day.
Friends member Heather West said there would be plenty of things to do.
"You can meet with members of our Cemetery Friends who will chat with you, provide information and answer any questions," Ms West said.
"You can walk amongst the headstones, dating from the 1830s, to learn more about our early pioneers and their stories."
Flat footwear is recommended as the terrain is uneven and all visitors will be required to observe COVID safe protocols and participate at their own risk.
Cemetery Friends are also researching the people buried at both cemeteries so they can create a comprehensive database for anyone researching their family history.
They are calling out for anyone with ancestors buried in the cemeteries to reach out so people can be contacted to share their research and participate in discussions if graves are at risk of serious deterioration.
