In A Grade, the Panthers defeated the Eels 6-5. This match witnessed the return of four-time Goulburn champion Chintan Trivedi.
Trivedi played well on the night to defeat an in-form Rod Blake in straight sets. Another match saw the debut of two players in A Grade, as Isaac Mavrolefterou overcame Sam Dunn 13-11 in the fifth set.
In the second A Grade match, the Rabbitohs snuck home 6-5 over the Eagles as Richie Jiang beat Michael Turner in three closely fought sets.
The final match went to the 88's 7-4 over the Rhinos. Jack Gray survived a marathon 20-18 fifth set to win over a fast-improving Lachlan Bill.
Round one of the B Grade Table Tennis Summer teams competition was also played this week at the John Lees Centre.
The Sharks defeated the Dockers 8-3, as Tammy McPherson scored two close five-set wins over Wayne King and Tommy Hailston.
The Storm downed the Dragons 7-4, with newcomer Peter Trama defeating veteran Bruce McGuirk 12-10 in the fifth set.
The Doggies beat the Pies 6-5 with Qianna Betts snaring a good five-set win over Kev Fitzgerald.
And in the final match, the Demons grounded the Jet Setters 6-5. Sam Plumb survived a 12-10 fifth-set thriller to defeat a determined Phil Fraser in a very entertaining encounter.
