Mulwaree High School students donated a Nintendo Switch to the Maternity and Children's Ward at Goulburn Base Hospital on December 15.

Year 12 students spear-headed the campaign to raise money for the gaming console. Funds were raised throughout the year on 'Fun Friday' where every second Friday students could dress-up in exchange for a gold coin donation.
A Year 12 student said it was "tricky" for the group to raise money due to COVID-19 closures.
"It was a solid effort because a lot of the year was spent at home," she said.
"Most of us were born and grew up in Goulburn, instead of donating to a big organisation, we wanted to give back to our own community.
"We wanted to make the hospital experience better for sick children."
Clinical nurse specialist Danielle Millynn said she could tell children felt better when they started to play video games again.
"The [Nintendo Switch] will be a stepping stone to going home."
