A P-plate driver will face court after allegedly reaching a speed of 199km/h in a 90km/h zone in the state's south today.

At about 10.45am this morning, officers attached to the Hume Highway Patrol detected a Mazda 3 sedan allegedly traveling 109km/h above the speed limit on the Federal Highway at Wollogorang.
After a short pursuit, the vehicle, travelling northbound, was stopped just prior to the Hume Highway.
The male driver, the only person in the car, allegedly told officers he was running late for a job interview.
The 20-year-old was charged with driving recklessly and furiously or a dangerous speed and manner and exceeding the P1 driver speed by over 45km/h.
The Mascot man will face Goulburn Local Court on Wednesday, January 20.
His license has been suspended.
