A dispute among neighbours has landed a man in court after he took matters into his own hands.

Mitchell Patrick Davis, 30, of Victoria Street, Goulburn, was convicted of destroying or damaging property.
Davis, who represented himself, appeared before Goulburn Local Court on November 18. In an address to the court Davis said that he had damaged a neighbour's front door with a metal pole during a dispute on November 9, 2020. Davis told the court that the victim had flashed his genitals, abused and assaulted him on an ongoing basis.
Davis said on the day of the incident he "completely lost [his] mind" and was "pushed too far".
"When [the complainant] flashed me for the fourth time... that's when I went and smashed his door," Davis said.
Magistrate Geraldine Beattie took Davis' early guilty plea into account.
The magistrate accepted there were "trying circumstances" but said Davis needed "alternate strategies".
She said the damage "made [Davis] look worse" and it sounded "like there will be a next time" the two were involved in an altercation.
Davis said "next time I'm just going to go back inside and hope it dies down". The defendant said he would cover the cost of door repairs.
Davis was convicted and fined $750.
