The road was closed yesterday following heavy rainfall. It is not yet known when the road will reopen and is subject to the ongoing weather, a spokesperson for the Upper Lachlan Shire Council said.
The Bureau of Meteorology (BOM) has forecast rain for the remainder of the week. Parts of the region have recorded high totals over the last three days. A landholder at Bannister said 80 millimetres fell in the past three days, while a landholder at Bigga said he had received around 70mm.
The BOM has predicted around 24mm to fall between Tuesday and next Monday.
Local Controller, Crookwell State Emergency Services, Benjamin Lynch said crews remain on standby.
