The BEtreat series was developed in response to the prolonged drought, bushfires, and Covid-19 and its effect on rural communities and, in particular, women.
"Women are often the lifeblood of rural and regional communities and time and again are the ones who hold the people around them up during tough times," NSW Government, Minister for Women, Bronnie Taylor said.
The free online sessions will begin on the International Day of Rural Women on October 15 via Zoom, with seven more events held until November 24, 2020.
The project aims to support women during recovery and to provide rural women with the skills to support their families and community, while also looking after their own wellbeing. The reset sessions will provide women an opportunity to breathe and reset.
Each session will run for 90-minutes and will be presented by women who are experts in their field and those with lived disaster experience.
