If the community does not increase its use of masks and social distancing rules, then we could see new measures being implemented soon, Premier Gladys Berejiklian has said.
Even businesses, especially those in the hospitality industry, have been put on notice and she said that "further action" will be taken if more businesses do not register their COVID safe plans.
Closer to home, businesses in town are being cautious and ensuring that they are maintaining adequate social distancing measures and following the guidelines.
Tito from the Park Cafe on Auburn Street in Goulburn said that the cafe has a COVID-19 safety plan in place.
"We are trying our best to implement the COVID-19 guidelines that have been issued by the government," he said.
"We make sure that everything is wiped down after it is used. We are keeping a record of customers who are made to sign in as soon as they come through the door."
He doesn't think it was a big challenge to implement these changes to the businesses.
"It has been a case of continuing to grow on what we considered to be typical good practices in health and safety," he said.
He feels that other businesses should be doing their part and implementing a COVID-19 safety plan to prevent more cases from coming up in the community.
Similar sentiments were echoed by Ethos restaurant employee Sandy Penrith in Bowral who feels that everyone should act responsibly during this time.
She said that they are working closely with the authorities and implementing the COVID-19 safety plan.
"We are a small space in terms of the restaurant. However, based on the guidelines, we make sure that we allow a fixed number of people in the restaurant at a given time," Miss Penrith said.
"We are working seven nights a week and take bookings up to two or three sittings depending on enquiry and demand. However, social distancing is certainly in place along with other specifications for hygiene," she said.
Meanwhile, Premier Gladys Berejiklian has reminded residents today that NSW was "on high alert" and said she wanted to see a higher uptake of distancing measures.
