Flood watch issued for potential heavy rainfall

The Southern Highlands and Southern Tablelands are expected to received moderate to heavy rainfall.

Residents are to expect cold, cloudy, and windy weather. Temperatures are expected to plummet to four to eight degrees below average.

A flood watch has been issued for the Shoalhaven River.

The weather system is expected to cause flooding for the catchment from Saturday.

The Bureau of Meteorology have also issued a warning for sheep graziers.

Sheep graziers are warned that cold temperatures, rain and vigorous winds are expected during Friday.

There is a risk of losses of lambs and sheep exposed to these conditions.

Flood watch means that people living or working along rivers and streams must monitor the latest weather forecasts and warnings and be ready to move to higher ground should flooding develop.
