Entries for the Kangaroo Valley Art Prize and exhibition will open on August 3.
The biennial event welcomes all original visual artworks, in any style and medium from artists across NSW and Australia.
Artistic works in a range of mediums including painting, printmaking, digital, photographic and video art, textile and fabric art, multi-media and new media are accepted.
Former curator and director of the Goulburn Regional Art Gallery Jane Cush will be curator for this year's event.
The judges will be Brenda May- owner/curator of May Space and Damien Minton- formerly the owner/curator of Damien Minton Gallery and former coordinator of Hughes and Watters Galleries.
Online entries will be open from August 3-28.
All finalists will be exhibited over the October long weekend (October 2-5) in the heritage Kangaroo Valley Hall.
The most recent Kangaroo Valley Art Prize had more than 400 entries from across the country.
A new prize this year will be the Tony White Memorial Art Prize for a young emerging artist.
Visual Arts in the Valley will also highlight local Kangaroo Valley artists, this year through a curated Salon of Local Artists over the same period.
Local artists may enter the Art Prize or the Salon or both
All accepted work will be for sale during the four-day exhibition and through the online sales gallery through to the end of October 2020.
