Already running as an online business, she had plans of setting up the Alley Boutique as a store on the main street of the town.
When COVID-19 restrictions started easing, she grabbed the opportunity and started her pop-up store at Millyn House.
"It was a good time for us to start the pop-up shop. I was working from home and had more flexibility with my time to focus on the store and get things organised," Miss Howard said.
Things were challenging at first but the community support kept her going and the business is doing "really well" now.
"We started the business in May and don't know what things would be like out of COVID-19. For us, it's going really well," she said.

They have received great feedback from the community.
"People have told us that they love our store, products and have been recommending it to their family and friends as well," she added.
"We would like to thank the Goulburn community for their support during these hard times. Hopefully, we can stay open and keep doing what we love."
The pop-up shop sells clothing, homeware and candles.
Meanwhile, the Asian grocery store Masala Mill is now expanding.
The store opened in Goulburn a year ago and has received tremendous support from the community.
"It was a difficult time when COVID-19 hit us. We tried to get as much stuff as we could for people here," Matthew Clark, owner of the store said.
"People are appreciative of the fact that we are here. During the lockdown, they weren't able to travel. We tried to get the things that they need, which sometimes even the supermarkets didn't have."
During the coronavirus pandemic, they were delivering vegetables at the doorstep of those who couldn't step outside their house.
"We were able to do that for our community during the difficult period," Mr Clark said.
They are now working on expanding the store so that they can accommodate new features like including a new freezer, bulk food items, etc.
