Goulburn's local parkrun event co-coordinator, Allison Briggs, is confident the club will reconvene as soon as the organisation deems it appropriate.

Having been unable to run its usual Saturday-morning event since March due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the amount of support and online engagement from its members leaves Briggs in no doubt that parkrun Goulburn will return.
"I think that people will definitely come back to it, people love being able to get together and run," Briggs said.
"Because we're tracking times, people love setting personal bests and pushing themselves.
"A lot of the comments we're getting online are 'we cant wait until this is back'; I don't think we'll have any issues getting restarted."
While many other sports are prepared to commence their 2020 winter seasons in June, parkrun may potentially endure a longer layoff due to the no-risk attitude of its global governing body.
"Reopening specific regions within parkrun countries brings with it many complexities, not least the need to understand more localised public health guidance, respond accordingly, and ensure that we don't create issues for neighbouring regions," a blog post on the parkrun website states.
"As such, at this time, our policy remains that we will only open parkrun events where we can safely and appropriately open every event in that country.
"We would particularly like to thank those events waiting patiently, and to assure them all that we are mindful of their situations and will continue to review our position on this as time progresses."
Though members of the parkrun club are unable to run together, the organisation has encouraged runners to stay fit individually.
To this end, it launched (not)parkrun, where club members can upload details of their five kilometre walk, jog, or run and keep track of their best times throughout the week online.
Briggs believes such initiatives and the passion that the Goulburn club's members have for running will keep interest strong until the weekly events can return.
"It's such a great organisation and community event, we'll just keep our fingers crossed," she said.
