The Post has compiled a list of returning sports below:
Hockey
Seniors: The Goulburn District Hockey Association confirmed it will field a men's and women's team in the Capital League Division One competitions, which start on July 11. Local senior competitions are currently being finalised.
Juniors: Junior hockey in Goulburn will resume from July 18, with exact numbers yet to be confirmed once registration closes on July 10.
Rugby League
Seniors: The Goulburn Bulldogs have confirmed that none of their four senior sides will play in 2020. However, the CRRL has confirmed the presence of the returning Gordon Highlanders in this year's George Tooke Shield.
Juniors: Registrations with the Goulburn Stockmen are currently open for a nine week competition, scheduled to start from July 18.
Rugby Union
Seniors: The Goulburn Dirty Reds men will get back on the field from July 18, in a revised five-team competition which will play ten rounds and feature semi-finals (September 26) and grand final (October 10). Similarly, the Goulburn Women are scheduled to return on July 18, though no draw has been finalised yet.
Juniors: The local primary school competition (Fizzy Reds) has been cancelled, but Goulburn Rugby Union has announced its intent to field teams in the Under 14s, 15s, and 16s Canberra competitions.
Aussie Rules
Seniors: The Canberra Fourth Grade competition is expected to start on July 18, and will include the Goulburn Swans.
Basketball
Seniors: The Goulburn Bears announced on June 19 that they will run a truncated nine-week competition beginning on July 21. The representative basketball will also return for a nine-week tournament, with dates to be finalised in the near future. Nominations open until July 6.
Juniors: Similarly, the Bears' juniors will return for a nine-week competition from July 22. Finals will be played between first and second-ranked teams, and nominations close on July 6.
Soccer
Seniors: The Southern Tablelands Football Association has confirmed its senior competitions will get underway on July 18. All competition grades (Under 13s through to All Age Men) will play until October 31.
Juniors: Like the seniors, all STFA junior grades will kick off from July 18. The Miniroos will play until September 26 (11 rounds in total).
Netball
Seniors: Set to begin on July 20 at Veolia Arena with the grand finals scheduled for November 23. Draws will be released once finalised.
Juniors: NetSetGo and Juniors are scheduled to start from July 25 at Carr Confoy courts, with finals on October 31 and November 28 respectively. Junior draws will be released once finalised.
