Several green spaces in Goulburn are now guaranteed to be just that - green - thanks to a grant announced today that will see waste water piped to them from Goulburn's treatment plant.

The Federal Government will give $4.4 million towards the water reuse scheme, an amount to be matched by Goulburn Mulwaree Council.
The Government grant is part of a $207 million investment under Round 4 of the Building Better Regions Fund (BBRF).
Federal Member for Hume Angus Taylor said the project is a positive investment in the region's future.
"This is a fantastic outcome for Goulburn, receiving $4.4 million under this latest round of funding," Mr Taylor said.
"The Goulburn Water Reuse Scheme will drive economic growth and local jobs at a time we need them most."

The scheme will see the construction of a 19 km network of water delivery infrastructure in Goulburn, connecting seven designated sports and recreation facilities and using high-quality treated effluent.
The system will have the capacity to expand and provide treated effluent for industrial uses in the future.
Mayor Bob Kirk thanked the Federal Government for their generous contribution to the project.
"The Goulburn Water Reuse Scheme is an innovative project we have been working on for some time now, and this money assists us enormously to now get underway," said Cr Kirk.
"We will be able to reticulate this water around the city, which means greener parks and gardens and better quality sporting fields for all of our residents and visitors to enjoy."
The parks and sporting grounds that will benefit from the waste water are:
- Carr Confoy Fields
- Victoria Park
- Belmore Park
- Goulburn Recreation Area
- Cookbundoon Fields
- Hudson Park
- Goodhew Park
The clubs and sports to benefit include Southern Tablelands Football Association (Soccer), Goulburn Hockey, Little Athletics, Goulburn Swans AFL, harness racing and greyhound clubs, Goulburn Touch Football, cricket, Goulburn Rugby Union, netball and soccer.
Recreational users of the park will also enjoy the greener spaces.
Minister for Drought David Littleproud said it was important now more than ever for the Australian Government to continue supporting drought-affected regions.
"Through the BBRF, the Australian Government is continuing its long-standing commitment to regional Australia, making vital local projects a reality, driving economic development and creating stronger partnerships across our regional communities," Mr Littleproud said.
