With many other activities banned, walking has never been so popular.
But for Goulburn's Sammy Elder, her daily walk with her two dogs has this week turned into something much more important than just getting the blood flowing.
Sammy has been taking part in Dementia Australia's fundraiser My Memory Walk, raising money and awareness to provide vital support services for people living with dementia, their families and carers.
Which includes Sammy herself.
"My Mum has Alzheimer's disease, and I'm caring for her," said Sammy.
Her mother Carole Bushby was diagnosed with the disease four years ago, at the age of 73.
Sammy stumbled across My Memory Walk in a Facebook ad, which outlined the annual fundraiser's alternative to their usual walk-a-thon.
Due to COVID-19, a group walk was out but people were encouraged to take it on in their own time and place.
"I thought, 'I could do that'," said Sammy.
"I walk a lot anyway. Caring for someone with dementia can be draining, so walking gives me a nice space. Why not use it to raise money and awareness?"

She's particularly keen to inform people about the disease, since - and she admits she was the same - she finds that most people don't really understand it.
"I've found since Mum was diagnosed that people think a sufferer is just a forgetful, little old lady, that it's sort of cute. But it's not," said Sammy.
In fact, dementia-related illnesses can make sufferers angry, paranoid, frightened and confused.
"Raising money is good, but raising awareness is even more important," said Sammy.
"Alzheimer's is a fatal disease, and most people don't know that."
The added bonus, from Sammy's perspective, is that My Memory Walk is something she could do with her dogs - an old kelpie-lab cross called Kahlua, and a seven-month old bull Arab cross called Cookie.
And she is loving the walks available around Goulburn.
"I've used the used the Wollondilly Walking Track since I was at school, when it was just a goat track," said Sammy.
"Over the years there were sections that were unusable, and snakes were always a problem. Now you can use so much more of it, and there are new paths on the northern side, so you can do loops. And if there's snakes, you can see them!"
