"Everyone is affected by the bushfires in one way or the other," Camilla Staff, project officer, RDASI, said.
"In the Southern Highlands, an estimated 2,500 full-time equivalent jobs have been lost.
"Goulburn, no doubt, has seen an impact too."
The guest speaker for the evening was Josh Matthews, who is the new general manager of the radio station.
He has previously run the Telstra store in Goulburn and later moved to Orange to work for Optus Business.
"My experience gained from Telstra store in managing people and in business is coming together while working for radio," he said.
"My core belief in any business or personal interaction is relationship.
"We want to make the radio accessible and relevant to the local community."
Meanwhile, Goulburn Mulwaree Council's communication and business development manager Jackson Reardon gave an update on the water situation in the city.
"Our water storage position is much stronger than the last drought. The current storage is around 58% and we have mid-level water restrictions," Mr Reardon said.
"We are drawing over a third of our daily needs of water from Highland Source Pipeline.
"We don't need to consider the next level of water restrictions until late March or early April."
Among businesses, he highlighted Tribe Brewery as one of the biggest water users.
"The brewery uses 40-50 megalitres of water a day. That is a week's worth of water in terms of what our town uses," he said.
The proposed poultry processing plant is currently going through the planning process with the NSW government.
"They have proposed usage of 35 megalitres of water per week, what the brewery is nearly using in a year," Mr Reardon said.
"We have the water to supply them, but they need to get certain infrastructure upgrades done."
