The RFS reported at 3.50pm that the fire off Spa Road near Windellama was under control.
Friday 2pm
Three RFS units are on the scene of a small fire at Windellama.
The fire broke out on a Spa Road property, some 5km south of the village, shortly after 1pm Friday and has burnt about two-thirds of a hectare, Southern Tablelands RFS operations officer, Lachlan Gilchrist said.
Three vehicles from Windellama Brigade are attending. Mr Gilchrist said the outbreak was being contained.
"It is moving relatively quickly in open country so it is easy to round up. Crews were able to get to it quickly."
The outbreak is not threatening property. Mr Gilchrist said there were no fears it would spread.
He told The Post it appeared the fire had started from downed powerlines.
No other new ignitions have been reported in the Southern Tablelands zone today.
