Goulburn and Crookwell will likely see snow fall across the weekend and police are urging motorists to avoid non-essential travel.

"We are monitoring the situation up in Crookwell," officer in charger at Crookwell Police Station, Inspector Matthew Hinton said.
"The emergency committee is on standby ... [in case] there are any impacts on the transport network and the hospital or aged care centre.
"We understand it's nice to see the snow but the risks are high and for people's personal safety we urge motorists to avoid non-essential travel and minimise where they need to go in the icy conditions."
Meantime, SES southeastern zone crew have attended 152 jobs since midnight Thursday, 83 of which have been completed.
On-call officer Allanah Mondon said the wind was forecast to pick up, with gusts of between 19 and 120km/h across the eastern ranges and south coast.
Snow is expected for the western part of the divide, specifically Goulburn, Crookwell and Queanbeyan. Thunderstorms are expected on Sunday.
Update 1.45pm
An SES crew were called to Chinamans Lane/ Range Road on Goulburn's outskirts at 12.50pm where a large tree had fallen across the road, blocking a lane.
The tree has since been cleared.
Friday 1pm
It's so far so good for the southern region SES around Goulburn in coping with wild and woolly weather.
However crews were on standby for expected worsening conditions, acting zone commander for the southeast zone, Superintendent Allan Budziarski said.
It's just under eight degrees in Goulburn but the apparent temperature, as registered at the airport, is minus 3.7 (as at 1am), according to the Bureau of Meteorology. The top wind gust was 88km/h at 1pm.
Snow is forecast across the region on Saturday and Sunday, with tops of seven degrees in Goulburn on Saturday and Sunday.
Superintendent Budziarski said coastal areas, which the zone also covered, had experienced the greatest impact from the weather.
"We've been quite fortunate around Goulburn, really," he said.
"But we have the button ready to push if there's snow across the weekend. It's predicted to be variable, between a dusting and heavier falls."
Superintendent Budziarski said there had already been reports of snow at Captains Flat.

At 10am, crews were called to Caoura Road, Tallong, 5km from the general store, where a tree had fallen on the road. Traffic was still able to pass and the tree was soon cleared.
Personnel three jobs in and around Yass. A large branch fell into the yard of a Pritchett Street home but did not damage property. In Ford Street, wind damaged a window and outside of town, at Jeir, a tree fell across a driveway at 10am.
Crews in the southeastern zone, covering a vast area down to Eden, out to Young, the ACT and Snowy Rover region, have attended 134 call-outs since the cold and windy weather began on Thursday morning.
Superintendent Budziarski said zone had ramped up its resources for the weekend to deal with an expected rise in call-outs.
The SES liaises closely with the Bureau of Meteorology on conditions. Wind speeds are expected to die down today, followed by snow but with improving conditions early next week.
Meantime, police have urged motorists to take greater care on the road, particularly given icy surfaces.
