Grass fire to the north east of Bungendore

The fire is described as “being controlled” by the NSW RFS.

The NSW Fire Service has advised there is a grass fire burning to the north east of Bungendore.

A spokesperson from the NSW RFS said at 1.30pm the fire has burnt through abut 100 Ha.

“Crews are on the scene at a grass fire burning in an easterly direction near Bungendore Road and Tarago Road,” the spokesperson said.

“Firefighters are in a position to provide protection to one property in the area, should it be required.”

“There is no immediate threat to other properties and water bombing aircraft will be assisting crews on the ground. Smoke may be visible in the area.”
