Well, get along to a workshop about it in The Food Forest section of the Goulburn Community Garden on Friday, December 2, at 10am.
Learn how to grow bush tucker species in your garden from trees to shrubs, ground covers, grasses and tubers. You will also learn about soil requirements, harvesting and designing with bush food plants. There will be taste-testing, plants to see and touch, detailed notes and bush food stories included. The presenter is Narelle Happ, a garden designer and horticulturalist who specialises in native garden and permaculture design. Tickets for this event are $30 and are available at trybooking.com/241411
The Goulburn Community Garden is ‘growing’ from strength to strength, but new members are always welcome. One section of its gardens has beds that can be rented and members grow vegetables for their table.
